Overview
IPAS 2.0 (Advanced Intelligent Proximity Alert System)
IPAS 2.0(Intelligent Proximity Alert System 2.0) is a cutting-edge safety assistance system designed to enhance workplace safety.
Powered by UWB technology, IPAS 2.0 measures the precise distance between tags and offers highly dependable warnings to both pedestrians and drivers, effectively averting potential collisions and workplace hazards.
As the successor of IPAS, the new IPAS 2.0 inherits the spirit of its predecessor's intelligence, simplicity, and manageability.
You can create efficient and safe working environments by customizing danger and caution ranges based on multiple factors such as the vehicle’s direction, speed, and other dynamic conditions.
Key Features
High Precision UWB
IPAS 2.0 employs Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology to provide precise, real-time monitoring of distances between personnel and moving equipment. UWB can provide centimeter-level accuracy in distance measurements, even in multipath or non-line-of-sight environments. IPAS 2.0 is ideal for environments where precise location tracking and immediate response capabilities are crucial for safety.
Bidirectional Multi-factor Alert
To prevent collisions between workers and vehicles on industrial sites, IPAS 2.0 provides bidirectional audiovisual alerts to both workers and vehicle drivers. It allows for the setting of various caution and danger zones according to the site environment and provides alerts accordingly. Drivers can intuitively understand risk factors, direction, and location information through an indicator installed in the vehicle.
Customizable Alert Shaping
IPAS 2.0 supports various settings to enable the configuration of alert zones optimized for each industrial site. (S-Mode, E-Mode) The shape of the alert zones can be adjusted considering various factors such as the type and size of industrial vehicles, the width of vehicle passageways, and the direction of vehicle movement. Alerts can be provided only in dangerous situations based on the site environment for enhancing work efficiency.
(S-Mode: Standard Mode, E-Mode: Extended Mode)
Easy Installation & Operation
KIGIS® Safety Solutions are designed to meet industrial standards, ensuring high reliability, and are compatible with all construction machinery and industrial vehicles, including forklifts, excavators, loaders, tractors, and dump trucks. Thanks to the out-of-the-box no-registration and no-calibration installation procedure, you can easily install our devices without damaging the vehicles due to the no-drilling-required and user-friendly design.
PC & Smartphone Support
IPAS 2.0 provides a Toolkit that enables easy environmental settings through a PC or smartphone. Device settings, danger and caution zone settings, firmware updates, and more can be conveniently configured via a PC or smartphone.
Scalability
KIGIS® products can be integrated with external devices such as access gates, lamps, and control devices to implement various industrial safety scenarios. Also, IPAS can provide event data like proximity alerts to the platforms for safety management.
IPAS 2.0:
Advanced Collision Avoidance System
01
Vehicle ↔ Pedestrian Proximity Alert
IPAS is an advanced collision avoidance system that delivers bidirectional alerts to both pedestrians and drivers in your workplace. You can easily tailor caution and danger areas within a 30m distance, and configure visual and audible alerts for each area.
02
Vehicle ↔ Vehicle Proximity Alert
IPAS is designed to prevent vehicle collisions through a distance-based proximity alert system. If other vehicles enter a caution or danger range, the controller issues an audible warning with LCD/LED alerts.
03
Blind Zone Alert (Vehicle → Zone)
In addition to basic vehicle-to-vehicle or vehicle-to-pedestrian proximity alerts, IPAS provides a stational type of tag device for workers who do not carry tags. Users can install the stational tags in blind areas with limited visibility such as corners or around entrances and exits to notify of the approach of a vehicle through a flashlight.
04
Crossway Collision Avoidance Alert (Zone ↔ Vehicle)
IPAS enhances safety at intersections by managing traffic sequence on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing vehicles that reach the intersection first. Equipped with stationary tags at crossways, vehicles receive clear signals to either proceed or pause, ensuring orderly and safe navigation.
05
Safety Zone Configuration
IPAS can establish a silent environment in places like rest areas, and garages, where proximity alerts are not necessary. When vehicles are detected within a designated safety zone or white zone, caution and danger alert will be deactivated. If workers exit the safety zone, the alarm can automatically reactivate, ensuring continuous workplace safety.
06
Scalability and Compatibility with External Devices
IPAS can serve as a trigger for automated scenarios with external devices. When a vehicle enters the preset area, it can activate or deactivate external devices such as parking gate barriers, relays, lamps, and more. With IPAS’s remarkable scalability, you can create an optimized workplace safety environment.
